Janet serves students in Central and Northern Harrison County and Georgetown, Indiana as a Barton and Math-U-See instructor.
From a young age, Janet knew she was meant to teach. Her journey has taken her through roles in Early Intervention, Special Education preschool, and Head Start, as well as homeschooling her two sons through graduation. Along the way, she earned her M.A. in Educational Psychology and additional certifications, building a foundation of expertise in both general and special education. She has taught in traditional classrooms and online settings, and today she focuses on her passion—providing intensive, individualized interventions that empower students to thrive.
Janet’s favorite part of her work is celebrating victories with her students—big or small. She believes each step forward is worth recognition and encourages students with her favorite reminder:
“How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” — Dave Ramsey
Beyond her work, Janet enjoys life with her husband of 35 years, their two sons, daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren (with another on the way). As “Nonni,” she cherishes every moment with her family. In her free time, she loves hiking, kayaking, camping, exploring markets and festivals, sipping tea, and soaking in the beauty of her favorite season—fall.
